Consultation meeting held with the Imams and Khatibs of Chattogram City

Sep 09, 2026

At a warm consultation meeting held with the Imams and Khatibs of Chattogram, Peer-e-Bangal Huzur Qibla Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (M.Z.A) emphasized the profound responsibility resting upon Islamic leaders to preserve faith, spread the light of the Sunnah, and shield society from moral decay.

The spiritual gathering was organized by the Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadia Sunnia Trust at Alamgir Khankah Sharif, Sholashahar, bringing together over seven hundred venerable Imams and Khatibs from across the city.

Key Message & Guidance from Allama Peer Sabir Shah (M.Z.A)

Guiding the Ummah with Sacred Knowledge: Huzur Qibla reminded the audience that Imams and Khatibs hold an elevated rank in their communities. They carry the noble duty of guiding the servants of Allah through the timeless truths of the Holy Qur'an and the blessed Hadith.

Continuous Study of the Qur'an and Hadith: Islamic leaders must not limit themselves to a handful of basic texts. The Holy Qur'an and the Prophetic Sunnah are vast oceans of divine wisdom; scholars must dedicate at least one to two hours daily to studying the scriptures and classical commentaries to extract these precious gems.

Upholding the Creed of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama'at: Armed with authentic proofs from the Qur'an and Sunnah, scholars can firmly uphold the true creed of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jama'at, leaving no room for misleading or deviant doctrines to misguide the believers. Through the blessing of Jamia Ahmadia Sunnia Alia, correct Islamic guidance has always stood firm against falsehood.

The Honor of Durood and Salam upon the Beloved Prophet (ﷺ): Citing the Holy Qur'an, Huzur Qibla underscored Allah’s divine command to send blessings and peace upon His Beloved Messenger (ﷺ) with utmost devotion. The followers of Ahle Sunnat express this love both seated and standing (Qiyam). He challenged those who oppose this act of reverence to produce a single clear textual prohibition from the Qur'an or Sunnah—a proof they have never been able to provide.

Strengthening Moral and Spiritual Training (Dawat-e-Khair): Emphasizing the deep bond between Imams and their congregations, Allama Sabir Shah urged every Khatib to organize weekly Dawat-e-Khair and Taleem-Tarbiya sessions for at least one hour in their respective mosques to refine the worship, character, and spiritual lives of the believers.
